'08 Chevrolet Corvette

Served up by a spirited Chevrolet team, the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette is truly a car you can admire. The car has been improved in stages over the years, and the team at Chevrolet has been slowly removing any chinks in the armor that this car may have with each passing year.

This year is no different. The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette looks slicker, rides smoother, and is easier to drive than ever before! The car gets plush rich interiors filled with handcrafted leather and a user-friendly dash.

The Chevy typical metal sill plates and narrowing headlights are consistent with the looks that Chevy fans yearn for, and new features include a new center-console trim that comes in either a metal screen type finish or a carbon-fiber finish.

The 2008 Corvette base sports a Z06 C5 engine that can go from zero to sixty mph in just 4.3 seconds, and claims a top speed of 190 mph. The intake, acoustic helmet, and resonator provide excellent dampening and it comes with a choice of a six speed automatic as well as a six speed manual shift.

'05 Chevrolet Corvette

The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette belongs to what is possibly the most successful legacy of sports cars in America. The Corvette is a favorite among both rally and drag racers. Just the fact that almost every car racing video game has at least one or two models of the Corvette speaks volumes about its stellar reputation.

The 2005 Corvette is a two-seater sports car with all of the advanced technological features and pure mechanical grace to keep it ranked high with auto enthusiasts.

The new V8 engine has a capacity of 6.0 liters and can produce up to 400 horsepower – a marked improvement over the 350hp generated in the previous generation Corvette. With an automatic four-speed transmission or a manual six-speed transmission, the 2005 Corvette includes two options for the suspension.

The 2005 Chevrolet Corvette is available in coupe and convertible versions. The wheel diameter is also increased for a sportier performance. Other features deserving mention are the ABS and the Magnetic Ride Control from GM, making the 2005 Corvette a formidable competitor on the road and in the market.

The different trims of the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette incorporate only minor modifications after its hugely successful 2006 version. A coupe and a convertible edition are available as usual with a few tweaks in the exterior and a few additions – namely, luxury features – for the interior.

The 2007 Corvette retains the engines from the 2006 makes of its base model and the Z06 edition. The base engine is a 6.0-liter V8 with 400 horsepower, while the Z06 has a 7.0-liter V8 producing a torque of 470lb-ft; the horsepower generated being nearly 505hp. A six-speed manual transmission is available for all models, the base models also coming with an optional manual transmission with six speeds.

The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette includes a new Bose audio entertainment system. The Magnetic Ride Control now comes with optional cross-drilled rotors for the brakes. The space in the glove compartment is increased. Other features like traction control and ABS are standard, not to mention the anti-skid mechanism and the multiple airbags.

'06 Chevrolet Corvette

The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette underwent a number of changes in its internal configuration, including the reintroduction of the Z06 – an ultra-high performance supercar modification of Chevrolet’s most popular sports vehicle. The 2006 Corvette, like its 2005 counterpart, is available both in convertible and coupe versions. All versions of this vehicle incorporate the rear-wheel drive.

Even though the base model of the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette retains the 6.0-liter V8 engine with 400hp from the 2005 make of the automobile, the Corvette Z06 has an incredibly powerful 7.0-liter V8 engine to cross the five-hundred mark in terms of horsepower, effectively producing around 505hp.

The four-speed automatic transmission is dropped for an updated six-speed automatic transmission system in the base model, while a six-speed manual transmission is compulsory for the Z06.

The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette incorporates safety and stability enhancement features to match its top-of-the-line performance. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is available in all the models along with the anti-skid feature. The base models optionally include the Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

2008 Chevrolet Corvette

A 2008 Chevrolet Corvette doesn’t just offer some of the best performance in its class, but is also one of the most feature-rich cars in existence.

An enlarged 6.2L Engine producing 430HP was introduced. Four-wheel disc anti-locking brakes are made standard for safety. Cruise control, leather seating, power outlets, power windows, locks and mirrors as well as power seating and remote keyless entry are all features found standard on the 2008 Chevrolet Corvette.

Again, the Corvette manages to maintain a 26MPG Highway EPA rating and deliver over 400HP powered by a 6-speed manual transmission to the rear-wheels.

Traction control and engine immobilizer are two of the great safety and security features offered on this year’s Corvette.

2007 Chevrolet Corvette

For 2007, Chevrolet kept with what works best for the Corvette.

The engine is mounted low in the chassis with a dry-sump oil system that ensures proper lubrication during periods of performance and acceleration. Titanium connecting rods instead of steel were introduced to further reduce the reciprocating weight inside the block, affording increase in rev and power potential while keep fuel-friendly vices intact.

In a momentous change, Chevrolet opted for a mostly aluminum body versus the steel body found on non-Z06 2007 Chevrolet Corvette coupes, providing a generous weight reduction companied with carbon fiber fenders make the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 one of the lightest yet most powerful sports cars in history.

Larger wheel tires were required to harness the power of the new Z06 engine.

2006 Chevrolet Corvette

2006 saw the greatest change to the Corvette in years with the introduction of the extreme-performance package known as the Z06.

The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 comes with an absolutely massive 7.0L V-8 Engine that produces an astonishing 505HP that rockets the 3,100 pound monster to 60mph in only 3.8 seconds with a top speed of nearly 200MPH limited by the computer.

This Corvette is significantly faster than the competition, setting records and performance standards equal to a race car. The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 features a 6-speed manual, rear-wheel drive platform.

After reaching “supercar” status, it manages to still maintain over 26MPG on the highway; a feat that sets the unparalleled bar for the competition to equal up to the impeccable and notorious domination of the Chevrolet Corvette.

2005 Chevrolet Corvette

There is no vehicle, let alone sports car, more notorious than the Chevrolet Corvette, and for 2005 nothing but great changes are made.

A new suspension, visible headlamps, increased passenger room and a higher performing 6.0L V-8 engine round out the list of cosmetic and performing changes done to the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette.

Low drag and weight help this year’s Corvette to maintain its relatively good fuel economy, getting 26MPG on the highway which is an absolutely phenomenal feat for such a large V-8 engine while also out-performing virtually any sports car on the road today.

Traditional 2-seater styling with a rear-wheel-drive platform for enthusiasts and 6-speed manual option make the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette “the” sports car to have.
