2007 Chevrolet Corvette

For 2007, Chevrolet kept with what works best for the Corvette.

The engine is mounted low in the chassis with a dry-sump oil system that ensures proper lubrication during periods of performance and acceleration. Titanium connecting rods instead of steel were introduced to further reduce the reciprocating weight inside the block, affording increase in rev and power potential while keep fuel-friendly vices intact.

In a momentous change, Chevrolet opted for a mostly aluminum body versus the steel body found on non-Z06 2007 Chevrolet Corvette coupes, providing a generous weight reduction companied with carbon fiber fenders make the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 one of the lightest yet most powerful sports cars in history.

Larger wheel tires were required to harness the power of the new Z06 engine.
