'06 Chevrolet Corvette

The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette underwent a number of changes in its internal configuration, including the reintroduction of the Z06 – an ultra-high performance supercar modification of Chevrolet’s most popular sports vehicle. The 2006 Corvette, like its 2005 counterpart, is available both in convertible and coupe versions. All versions of this vehicle incorporate the rear-wheel drive.

Even though the base model of the 2006 Chevrolet Corvette retains the 6.0-liter V8 engine with 400hp from the 2005 make of the automobile, the Corvette Z06 has an incredibly powerful 7.0-liter V8 engine to cross the five-hundred mark in terms of horsepower, effectively producing around 505hp.

The four-speed automatic transmission is dropped for an updated six-speed automatic transmission system in the base model, while a six-speed manual transmission is compulsory for the Z06.

The 2006 Chevrolet Corvette incorporates safety and stability enhancement features to match its top-of-the-line performance. The anti-lock braking system (ABS) is available in all the models along with the anti-skid feature. The base models optionally include the Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
