The different trims of the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette incorporate only minor modifications after its hugely successful 2006 version. A coupe and a convertible edition are available as usual with a few tweaks in the exterior and a few additions – namely, luxury features – for the interior.
The 2007 Corvette retains the engines from the 2006 makes of its base model and the Z06 edition. The base engine is a 6.0-liter V8 with 400 horsepower, while the Z06 has a 7.0-liter V8 producing a torque of 470lb-ft; the horsepower generated being nearly 505hp. A six-speed manual transmission is available for all models, the base models also coming with an optional manual transmission with six speeds.
The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette includes a new Bose audio entertainment system. The Magnetic Ride Control now comes with optional cross-drilled rotors for the brakes. The space in the glove compartment is increased. Other features like traction control and ABS are standard, not to mention the anti-skid mechanism and the multiple airbags.
